First, I think people were bitching about you using annoying hashtags for no good reason since there's no tagging system yet

Second, if 10 people use it, the system is useless, and I bet very few people will start tagging all their posts.
Third, I think you're trying to turn ST into a database of information. To me, it's a message board that's like a big discussion. Yes sometimes we miss stuff, but that's too bad, it's somewhere else on the internet. I can't rely on ST for all my news.
I agree that the complaints about "There's too much of this" are not useful, but it doesn't happen too often
