So, my quest for an Associates Degree may be even easier/better than I thought!

Spoke to someone in Admissions tonight at CCRI - they said if I need only one more class, and send over transcripts to prove I took multiple classes at another institution (which I did, at a 4-yr school in RI), I may be able to have one of those classes substituted for the science class I need to take. That would mean I'd be able to get that Associates without taking another class.
It's up to the department head, but the man I spoke to earlier said that there's a good chance they will sub one of those 7 other classes for the one I need. Knowing that I was trying to further my education could mean something to the head of the department. We'll see.

wow! if you can get them to waive any kind of residence requirement (like you have to get x credits from there) that's awesome! -- nm
