it's kind of like watching my parents fight. like you don't want them to because you love them both, but you have no power or say over the situation.

and then if you bring it up, it's not really a fight -- it's a discussion.

it's especially interesting that the communication medium is written so there are no verbal clues either so you don't know if someone is genuinely asking a question of just being snarky.
