and congratulations. The issue of sending announcements to your peers is a tricky one. You'd think most of them would already be aware that you're graduating, which would render announcements superfluous. I've always considered announcements as something necessary to let people outside of my peer group know, as a courtesy to them, whether I expect them to get me a gift or not (and depending on how close they are to my family, they generally will send at least a card).
