I'm not saying religion does no good, either. I don't think any of us are. It came from "if there were no religion in the world tomorrow" idea.

I don't think we *need* religion to do good in the world. If religion went away, lots of people would be "lost," but it would also (eventually) lead to a more enlightened world, I think.
(Or would devolve to man creating replacement religions anyway.)
