Last year was an unmitigated disaster for the team.

- Lyle Bauer quit as team president today. Apparently he felt his role was being usurped by the Board....
- ...Who had good reason to get involved. Attendance was off by about 5,000 down the stretch and word around the campfire is that season ticket renewals are VERY weak.
- There's also rumours that at least two major sponsors have told the Club that a return of Kelly meant they would walk away.
- Even if a morals clause somehow voids Kelly's contract, we're still paying Doug Berry for one more season (2010) and that fact more than anything else is the reason Kelly was given the vote of approval to return next season. (At least prior to today's incident.)
- We're likely bringing Michael Bishop back as a starter next season. This one more than anything else kills me. No one will win seven or eight games and miss the playoffs better than Bishop.
