at any other time - namely if we didn't have the banks all fucked up? - no.
And it won't really matter anyway, because all a bailout will do is forestall things for a few years - which is what I am assuming the gov't realizes - and that once the economy stabilizes we can let them each go bankrupt as they should and the sink or swim like the rest of industry in this country.
