Weird. I wonder if it has to do with the area/building you're in. We've had them for 12+ years (cable tv) and have never had any issues.

My cable internet had some issues in the beginning when they first rolled it out, but in the last few years the only issue I had with them was when they did an upgrade at 2 AM and it knocked me offline. I was kind of ticked I wasn't notified, but that's it.
