Actually, DirecTV offers satellite internet here (Hughes-net) if you want it.

There are a lot of places in this state where you can't get dsl or cable, but you can easily get Dtv or Dish network. AFAIK, Dish network doesn't offer satellite internet.
A lot of students go to school online in this state. There are hundreds of little towns and villages with populations under 100--the tax base is so small the cities can't afford to build and maintain schools plus pay for staff. Several years ago the state figured out it they could set up kids with laptops and live cams, provide them with satellite internet and save millions on brick and mortor buildings.
