There's been more than a few studies suggesting otherwise as well, so it's a point of debate, but I'm talking about the underlying belief system...

Why should the government be in retail of any product or service?
If it is solely for "better delivery", wouldn't that then justify a crown corportion to run how many different types of services? When it comes to the liquor outfits, it really seems to stem from "It's how it was always done," and not with the thought of, "Why are we selling it this way in the first place?"
