The wind is killer here. It comes rolling over the cascades from the NW and the Owyhees to the south and they act like a funnel. It's been so nasty

for the last 2 days, the windows and the walls just rattle.
That bad storm hit about 4 am Tuesday, 40 mph winds, blizzard conditions. A semi jacknifed at the first MH exit on 84 about 6:30, east bound. IHP closed the east bound lanes, then about 7:30 another one did the same thing west bound and the IHP closed the west bound lanes too. I had an appointment in Boise at 2pm, but had to cancel. We live right off exit 90 and they had it closed back before exit 72. The one back road I could have used to get around it was impassable. Before they reopened it around 7pm, there were numerous multi car pile ups that were blamed on the wind. People would hit that set of curves right before that speedomoter section and the wind gusts were blowing them off the road or into the median. Ugh.
