How has it impacted society in the last decade (2000's) greater than what it did in the 1990's?

Email boomed in the late 90's, but as of the 2000's, there hasn't been many technological changes to impact society or to change society since then, imo.
On a worldwide scale, I'm going with Broadband internet access, then possibly text-messaging. From a 'USA-only' perspective, I stick with my 1. Broadband, 2. Social-networking.
