MH question (non-MHers can move along)

For a tactical trap I currently have the Venus Mouse Trap. I also have 536k in gold. Would you recommend:

a) I spend 512k on the 2010 Blastoff Trap. This would give me an immediate jump in power and luck.

or

b) Save a little more to upgrade to the Thorned VMT. This has less of an immediate impact but can be an investment to eventually reach the Horrific VMT.

What are your thoughts?
