Eventually you'd definitely want the Horrific for the Tribal Isles/Nergs I think.

Especially when you go after the tribe chief.
I've never really worried about the luck factor honestly so can't really speak to that - don't know how much of a difference that would make.
Also, aside from the luck, the Ambush probably has the edge as an "interim" tactical trap.
(This is all said without researching catch-rates or anything, just off the top of my head.0
