Mousehunters question

I'm in the Whisker Woods Calm Clearing, and I know one of the 'objectives' is to get the next map piece for the Great Gnarled Tree from the Centaur mouse (which I got - he was the first mouse I caught).

Is the 'goal' to capture all the mice available in that region, or once I have the map piece to move on (if I can)? Gnarled Tree is a Master Level, so should I just hang out here until I hit Master?
