be the average worker's wage. consider the general rate of inflation over the years. IE:
as a kid my folks made like 12k? our mortage was 120, gas was 25 cents a gallon. My first car was a toyota corolla cost 1,200, and high level professionals were supposed to make their age in income, IE: a 50 yo was supposed to make 50K like doctors and lawyers, upper management.
40 years later everything is just about 10x, and the scary thing is, in another 20-40 years while I might still be alive, everything just might be another 10x what it now, and 50K is just about a minimum you need to rent a basic house, buy a modest car and pay utilities and whatever. its the starting wage for cops and school teachers.
