Dumb question: how do I know if I need one of those converter boxes with an antena on my TV?

The Fox station and my cable company are battling so chances are I'm losing Fox this week. Since all i really care about on Fox is Bones, figured I'd antenna it to watch. (Live! Like an animal!)
The TV is 3 or 4 years old if that helps.

Also note that all-digital TV is only true in USA.

is your tv hdtv? is your antenna for hdtv? if the answer is yes to both, then no need for the convertor

Mediacom here not TW. They made a temporary deal so the Hawkeye game won't be blocked tomorrow night.
