The problem with that 1.4 number is that those December blockbusters were already showing mid to large dropoffs before January.

Nothing like the miniscule drops Avatar has.
For as big as Return of The King was around the holidays, it still didn't have the weekdays Avatar had, or drop as little as Avatar on the weekends.
The Prince of Egypt comparison is the closest thing we have to a comparison film (since they've eerily run neck-and-neck until today), and that puts it above Dark Knight.
