Lowell, Youk, Ortiz, VMart, Varitek and Kotchman for 4 spots.
Then you add Beltre knowing Lowell is busted when you have reasonably suitable guys already in the clubhouse.
That's $10mil in extra cost that's if not duplicate, but triplicate in some instances.
And you still don't have a SS.
