Per your IM, I disagree that it's just one season. Or that Peterson should be the #1.

Peterson finished second this year, but only about a point better than MJD, and about 30 better than the next guy. Three more players down is where you get to the difference between Johnson and Peterson.

Peterson was 4th last year, and just over half a point from being 5th. Johnson was 11th while splitting carries, especially near the goal line, with LenDale White. He still had nearly 1500 total yards and 10 total TDs.

The year before, Peterson was 4th again. The plus is that he's improved in fantasy points every year. So maybe he is the top fantasy back next year.
