well, they can adjust to a partial extent - in the example I used talking to ML. Greg Maddux can keep hitting that outside spot where the no-name

pitcher has to come closer in to adjust to the umpire which will give the opposing team an advantage...thats not the sort of adjustment the team with the no-name wants to make
