On your Home / News Feed / Live Feed page, scroll down the bottom, and on the bottom right there is an Edit options link. Click on that and a box pops up showing any friends you've hidden, and along the top are the other two options, Pages and Applications.

I tested it with the Mouse Hunt app by hiding it in my news feed, then re-approving it that way.
