when Jake is riding his smaller bird and says of the largest creature something like, "I figure he'd never be looking at what's above him."
That was a fantastic line about those things at the top of their food chain for so long; they stop worrying about what could be gaining.
I LOVED that line; perfect amount of bravado and prayer to be correct.
