And even though I'm not as big a fan of Avatar, watching the TPM review demonstrates how much better grasp of storytelling Cameron has.

I still have issues with the Avatar story, but at least the basics are executed. You have a clear protagonist with a defined conflict who must go through a change and overcome obstacles.
