we had put abby to bed about 15 minutes ago.

we walked out in the foyer to find her sitting on the stairs coming down from her room.

she looked at us, paused a second, and stuck out her bottom lip, trying to look scared.

we bought it for about 2 seconds but she was trying *so hard* to look upset that we started laughing at her.

at which point she wanted to start laughing too, but remembered that she was trying to look scared, so she almost had to drag the corners of her mouth down so she wouldn't crack up.

the theatrics of her face were priceless.
