I totally agree, but oddly, I think the reasons why he failed will make him a good secretary of HHS.


He was known as someone who was way too much of a micro-manager as Majority Leader. He spent far too much time worrying about legislative tactics and minutiae than he did broader strategies and bigger concerns.

And, personally, I think the thing HHS needs right now is a policy-wonk who focuses on the minutiae.
