I haven't read the piece, but one relatively level-headed conservative I read pointed out this week that the author of this piece accepts....

....A number of liberal premises without contention, so that doesn't really make it a conservative argument vs. the argument of one self-identifying conservative.
An argument based on conservative premises would go further.
