Except companies don't work that way, of course. They'll invest in whatever they can (read: Blackwater, or state-based support from the US or surrounding navies) to preserve their bottom line.
It's an insecure trade route. The obvious inclination is that there will be bloodshed in order to secure it. It's just a matter of time.
