I'd add new shows. A couple of seasons back, NBC gambled with stuff like Journeyman, Life, Chuck, and Bionic Woman.

Only one of the four I mentioned is still on the air, but they were all good (well, maybe not Bionic Woman). They have to take more steps like that, and then allow the shows to find their audience.
