NWBR, western world subsidization of their own agriculture has hurt those 3rd world agrarian economies (such as Haiti) the most in that it depresses

market prices for the produce that the poor countries rely on for export.
Current efforts to aid Haiti are laudable, but let's not kid ourselves about the fact that while we rush to spoonfeed Haiti aid, we're doing so in the knowledge that we won't be untying their hands from behind their backs anytime soon.
