I haven't seen the full-on ocean in person since a while before my car accident (march 2007). that's the longest period in my life by far that I've gone without a visit; and I used to go every few months or so, at least. I crave it, but I've survived.
(my ankle + driving through the santa cruz mountains or the long way 'round driving to it = me cringing just thinking about it; and asking someone else to take me was low on the favor list when I wasn't driving myself. I need to go soon, though before stronger yearning sets in. ;) -)
