our truck parked on the side of OUR HOUSE - in the neighborhood street.
city ordinance states can not be parked there in excess of 72 hours.
Did. Not. Know. This. - been there 7 years been parking it in the street off and on for that long.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse blah. blah. blah.
I feel they are trying to make up shortfalls but sticking it to the residents. Years ago we had several ordinance violations - warnings every one - no actual tickets ( when they could have been) so why all of a sudden now?
it is all out of the blue.
They will never see one dime of that money. not one dime. I initially thought? really? there is a law against that - that sucks!! well, we will just pay the $ 20 or $ 30 grumble grumble.
$ 185 - buwhaaaaa FUCK THEM.
I might move.
end rant. thanks for listening.

Just so I'm clear, you got several warnings years ago, still got away with it for 7 years, and now because you're getting a ticket, you're gonna move?
