When I was in America years ago I accidentally put $1500 worth of traveller's cheques in the washing machine at the motel.

Then no bank would cash them for me because all the security crap at the back had washed off and they looked like I just printed them off photoshop. So anytime I needed money I had to go into a McDonald's and pick the dumbest looking drone that'd accept a $100 cheque to pay for a cheeseburger. Stressful.
