Excel help? I want to pull data from a column, and average the results together.

However, I want it to average by the number of numbers actually *in* the column, you know what I mean? So I want it to count up the cells with actual values entered in a particular range, then average those values. If I add another number to the range, it should adjust the average to reflect the correct divisor. Is that do-able?
