I gotta think the 45 mile Anchorage-Wasilla commute swings between the best and the worst depending on the season.

June: light all the time, no bottlenecks, gorgeous scenery the whole way.
January: dark for all but 5 hours a day (none of which occur during morning or afternoon rush hours), usually 40 miles of ice, a bottleneck at every moose crossing.
