the highlight of the weekend was:

my brother is notoriously tight-lipped about stuff.
i knew that he started dating someone recently, but aside from her name, and the fact that my mom sort of set them up, i didn't know any of the details.
we were finishing lunch on saturday, and my mom tries to get him to disclose some of the details. of course, he's not buying.
so i run into abby's playroom and grab this set of barnyard animal finger puppets. i go back to the table and throw him the puppets and tell him to relate the story through puppetry.
which the then proceeds to do, to everyone's shock.
he *totally* got into it. there were about 12 puppets all together, and he used just about every one of them to represent different people in the story (it got pretty complicated). he used a donkey for himself and used an appropriate voice for it.
the highlight was him recounting a dinner that he, his gf and our mom were at, where she was sorta congratulating herself on setting them up, and her puppet said, "you see, i'm quite good at interfering in your life like this."
we all got a huge laugh out of this.
