Isn't that completely counterintuitive? Their own argument is that sleep is brought on by the body temperature dropping. So getting into a warm bed

would inhibit that process. A cold bed would draw out the heat in your body. A warm one would do the opposite.

I think it's that a cold bed makes it take longer for the heat to disperse from your body.
