Why should he want to go? He was still #1 in ratings. I didn't like him, but I think his response seems fair and reasonable. (nm)

I admit I don't remember the details of the Letterman/Leno fiasco (I was too young), but still, it doesn't preclude Leno from being a bystander this time.
