but I'll say for I think the third time here - I'm not calling for the filibuster to be eliminated.

And for, I guess, the second time, this isn't about the health care bill. I've had this issue with it for several years, and among several different configurations of Senates. It's simply topical again, and it's created dysfunctional government. It's like being stuck in a snow bank and refusing to push the car because not everyone in the car wants to get out and push.

As far as potential solutions go, there was one I thought was interesting in that it stepped down the requirement for cloture as time went on, eventually allowing a simple majority to close debate after a period of several weeks. If it's debate that is really meant to happen out of the filibuster, it'll allow it.
