when we were hired, we were promised exec dir or vice exec dir jobs when we finished rotating. now we're told that not only are we not guaranteed these jobs, we are not guaranteed jobs at all. nobody is safe.
b is for bruno who was eaten by bears is safe (his region is in dire need of people), m is for mary who... did something is fine because schools in her region are consolidating, making more management jobs available. dave is a golden child; he's already signed on to open his own school in florida. r is for ryan consumed by a fire is a hot commodity because he is super conservative and religious in a region whose exec dirs and corporate leadership are the same. he's baby food.
doug and I are screwed. our regions are married because of accreditation -- we can only move between the two. and there is *no opportunity* in either. there were supposed to be four new jobs opening in NH but those have been restructured away.
I put my chance of having a job past 2/1 at about 30%. it's just the luck of the draw. wrong region, wrong time.
