They keep the house by 8-12 votes; lose 7 seats in the senate and then by 2012; they very likely lose the senate even if he wins re-election.

I'm not sure how 'move to the center' you expect him to do.
he's running Bush's military strategy and health care reform is favored by a majority of people in the country.
His 'liberalism' hasn't shown up.
