If he signed with the Mets for 1/$4.5 it wouldn't be terrible. Reports were that the Mets offered more money and more years.

2 at 10 was what I hear Bengie turned down to stay in SF.
We already signed 3 replacement level catchers (basically the same as Bengie) for league minimum, and one of our top prospects is Josh Thole, who is an OBP wizard.
