Indeed. Ditto for yachts. But this hatey (and the associated misconceptions) stems from 80s-style business tactics.

i.e., the more-awesomer company wins.
Non-luxurious planes and yachts still have many expenses, regardless of how they are used by the company, and the potential advantages of all investments like that must be carefully gauged (and consistently re-evaluated) with cost-benefit analysis.
