I'm reminded of the GM VP (I think) on the Colbert Report a month or so ago, talking about their plans for alt energy vehicles and their new hybrid

He was very condescending and arrogant about it all. Then he make a statement indicating that they were only doing it to make the god damn hippie tree huggers to shut up, they really didn't care about changing anything. Mark and I were both pretty surprised that a person at this level in the company would be so dismissive of a growing customer base, especially when appearing on a show whose main demographic IS that same customer base. What needs changing is the corporate culture from the top down. People carry on about the "poor" always having their collective hands out for entitlements, well what the hell do they think this is? Although, unlike the "poor" who basically have to grovel and jump through hoops for a medicaid card and $200/month in foodstamps, our government hands them billions with no fucking oversight. *This* is the kind of thing that starts revolutions.
