No candy, but I love MojaveMeg's idea of salsa. I love salsa -- the hotter and more local the better.

Favorite color is purple.
Sports team would be Nebraska Huskers or Oregon State Beavers.
Music: any sort of new or still undiscovered artist. Anything good really.
Books: I'm a voracious reader of fiction and non-fiction. I particularly like political memoirs and anything remotely similar to George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series. And I just picked up Sly Mongoose, too.
Oh, and I'm a huge fan of comics, strategy games, role-playing games, Star Trek stuff, and other geeky things. Legos too.
For movies, I like just about anything except Adam Sandler comedies and other sort of "dumbing down" humor. I've been getting into documentaries a lot lately.
But overall, the thing I'd like most is a cool little framed artsy photograph or poster, game, tchatchki, or similar object that is unusual or has local significance. Something that I can look at 10 or 15 years from now and immediately identify with the person who sent it to me.
Although, I'll tell ya, no one is ever going to top the Secret Stalker gift I got last year ... .
