where they created a card for each instance of the player's stat.

Like Jeter had 198 hits...he'd be #1 in the set and it'd be #'ed like #1 - Hit 1 (Serial #)...#1 - Hit 2 (Serial #)....

So you'd end up with 198 1 of 1's just for Derek Jeter.
