And the costs will be passed along. It's not just for those services. It's higher fees to borrowers, possibly higher interest rates. Maybe not dollar for dollar, but a good bit of it. We want these banks to be healthy. Adding more costs to them doesn't really further that.
I'm all for the regulatory limits, but the targeted taxes on these institutions are populist, but I don't think they're well thought out.
