I'm not so sure the Kindle is dead, as some proclaim, giving the pain of reading a book on a computer screen like the IPad

Mostly, I just don't get what the IPad market segment is. What's the point of this device? The one big thing I see it having is ability to deal with color and graphics in books. But for just normal books like novels, that backlit screen will be a bitch to read on.

Aside:
affect/effect? Which would have been correct in the subject?
