totally. there are 11 books in my hotel room right now. of those 7 are borrowed from other people. there are five books in my car

(my car *here*) waiting to be mailed to people. there's a book in the acura in PA waiting to be mailed. yes, books cost more when you buy and mail them. but it washes out in the end: my books on loan often come with notes that say "mail to ann" or "mail to sash when done."
the value of a physical book is unlimited, really. when I can loan ebooks like I loan books? sure, I'll pay more. (no media mail fees!) until then: no ebook reader for me.
