something that troubles me slightly about abby (slight finding nemo spoiler, i guess)

finding nemo is one the few movies abby watches.
at the beginning of the movie, when coral & the eggs are eaten by the big fish, abby will pull heather or me over to sit on the sofa with her. during the scene, she'll tug on our sleeve and ask "Sad? Sad?" with a really worrisome look on her face.
i'm not sure that a 2 1/2 year old should be so attuned to "sad"
on the flip side, it surprises me that the big fish doesn't scare her....nor do the sharks later on in the movie
